Lovely views, incredible and awesome setting.
The hotel of choice in Bundoran. Homely, fairly clean place with welcoming and courteous staff with excellent service. Exceptionally comfortable bed in the queen room, plus central heating and a TV. A nice restaurant for lunch or snacks.

The interiors of our family room were nicely designed and the location was stunning, just a short walk from Bundoran Golf Club and a 10-minute walk to downtown.

I liked the surrounding of the hotel. I enjoyed the walk around the coast and enjoyed the scenery. I found the staff friendly and the girls on Reception were very helpful.
I personally did not find it value for money as the food helpings were quite small. The drink was expensive and as costly as any pub in Dublin. I thought 70c for a dash for a child's drink was over the top. At no time was it evident of the vat reduction. The family room that we were given was very small.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Lovely view of the beach. Very nice to see the owner of the hotel Brian McEniffe every night chatting to his customers.Breakfast was lovely and full and plenty of everything. Had 1 evening meal there and that was also excellent.
There was nothing we didnt like about the Great Northern Hotel but there was two things I would have questioned but cannot use this box for that.

Easy access car park. Comfortable room. Good service. Restaurant provided good breakfast and evening menu was satisfactory.
Bistro (bar) restaurant was noisy due to people visiting nearby music festival and their language was appalling. Menu was very limited.

A very comfortable relaxing atmosphere combined with a staff that was very helpful made this stay for me very enjoyable.

The vibe at the Great Northern Hotel felt like being with family. Free parking was a pleasant surprise. - the hotel's central location was near the cliff top with stunning views of the town, close to two beaches, and a beautiful cliff walk around the headland. - A nice golf course and a restaurant for dinner were also conveniently nearby. - It only took a 15-minute walk to reach the Wishing Chair Outlet Mall.

The location is amazing and if you are looking for an ok hotel with exceptional views and access to the beach and golf course right outside your door this is the place for you. The bar and patio area are also nice.
The inside of the hotel is quite dated especially the bedrooms and overall it could do with refurbishment.The check in time of 1600 is very late.
